This cemetery dates back from 1880 and overlooks the Ohio River and Gallipolis. At least two of the founding French 500 are buried there. The plaque on the gates to the Cemetery lists the names of 30 Revolutionary War Soldiers who were buried in Gallia County. It is also the final resting place of O.O. McIntyre.
The Silver Bridge was built in 1928 as a toll bridge by the Gallia Bridge Company. On December 15, 1967, it collapsed killing 46 people. Two bodies, a woman and a child, were never recovered. Their names are engraved on the top beam of the new bridge.
The Northup Dam features a tranquil waterfall, the result of an old milldam on Raccoon Creek. The 1937 flood washed away the mill. This was a man-made dam, once owned by the Harrington'
